Mr. O'Leary stated he did not <br />have a Staff Report at this time. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mayor Narvaiz stated <br />she wanted to thank the McCoy's for helping reach the goal of purchasing <br />the Springlake Property. She stated the City will be accepting another <br />donation on Thursday from the Cummings family. She stated on the utility <br />bill there will be an area where citizens can donate for either utility <br />assistance and /or park donation. 2) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended the <br />Hunger Food Drive at the First Christian Church. 3) Mayor Narvaiz thanked <br />Chaplewood Methodist Church for sending 165 members, 140 were middle and <br />high school kids that came to San Marcos to work in our community. She <br />stated this group also wanted to give a special thanks to Richard Merritt <br />from the Activitv Center. 4) Mavor Narvaiz reminded the Council that LCRA <br />is putting on a Wind trip July 29 & 30. 5) Mayor Narvaiz stated she <br />attended the Board of Realtors who kicked off a fundraiser for a <br />scholarship in memory of Michael Davis. 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she was <br />elected Chair for Capital Area Planning Council of Government. She stated <br />she hoped to bring jobs from the state level into our region. 7) Mayor <br />Narvaiz thanked the Police and Fire Department for bringing the Tourism and <br />Terrorism Conference into our community for the 2nd year. 8) Mr. Jones <br />thanked those involved in the Juneteenth events. He stated he judged the <br />BBQ cook off, eat jalapeno, and baked a cake for the Juneteenth Scholarship <br />Committee. 9) Mr. Jones stated he attended the Bluebonnet Lions Club <br />Waffle Breakfast. 10) Mr. Jones thanked the City of Kyle for a tour of <br />their City. 11) Mr. Jones encouraged the community to take time to build <br />relationships with each other. 12) Mr. Guerrero thanked the Hernandez <br />family for being at the meeting. 13) Mr. Bose thanked everyone involved <br />with the Juneteenth celebration. 14) Mr. Bose gave God's blessing for all <br />the good fathers out there. He also thanked them for being a good father <br />and role model. 15) Ms. Couch thanked the Mayor for her work on Loop 110. <br />16) Mr. Thomaides stated he had the opportunity to represent the City at <br />University /City Relationships in Gainesville, Florida. He stated there <br />were 30 different Universities and Cities who were represented. He stated <br />he heard about the same issues we hear about, the same feelings and the <br />same problems. He also stated the common theme is a combination effort <br />between the neighbors, students, staff and university staff. 17) Donovan <br />Knight thanked the Chaplewood Methodist Church for helping finish the <br />Bobcat Build project. 18) Donovan Knight stated the Pack -it -up and Pass - <br />it-on project was a success again this year. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held June 5, 2007, adoption of two Ordinances on third and <br />final reading and adoption of thirteen Resolutions, approval of Change <br />
