She thanked for all the Staff and citizens who supported <br />this project. 8) Mr. Bose stated he attended the River Banquet. He <br />thanked the River Foundation for the invitation. 9) Mr. Bose stated he <br />attended the Hotel Conference Center Groundbreaking. 10) Mr. Bose stated <br />he attended the groundbreaking for the Skate Park on Saturday, February 3, <br />2007. He stated the Skate Park is proposed to be open in May. 11) Mr. <br />Bose stated he attended the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Banquet on <br />Saturday Night. He stated the guest speaker was from Ecuador, who had an <br />interesting way of looking at trade between countries. 12) Mr. Bose <br />announced the 55 and over Valentine Dance on February 14th at the Activity <br />Center. 13) Mayor Narvaiz- stated she attended the Skate Park <br />groundbreaking on Saturday, February 3rd. She stated the Skate Park needs <br />one hundred thousand dollars to complete the second phase. 13) Mayor <br />Narvaiz stated she attended the annual Growth Summit, which talks about <br />growth till 2030 and the infrastructure needs. She thanked Donna Hill for <br />allowing her to sit at Time Warner's table. 14) Mayor Narvaiz stated she <br />presented a Proclamation at the Toastmaster Club's 15th Anniversary. 15) <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated the first meeting of the Hays/ Caldwell Public Utility <br />Agency was held. She stated she was elected Chair. 16) Mayor Narvaiz <br />stated she attend the Life Force Blood Drive on Saturday, January 27th. <br />She stated the blood donations were for soldiers in battle. She thanked <br />the Ft. Hood Medical Team for their hard work. 17) Mayor Narvaiz read a <br />complimentary letter from developers regarding Carol Barrett and the <br />Planning Development Staff. 18) Mayor Narvaiz stated there will be free <br />tax help on February 8th through April 15th at the Library for any elderly <br />or low income citizens. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held January 18, 2007, approval of minutes of the Special <br />Meeting held January 24, 2007, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, <br />adoption of nine Resolutions, and approval and reception of the Quarterly <br />Investment Report for the Quarter Ending December 31, 2006, on consent. The <br />Council pulled Items 14, 16, 18, 19, and 20, adoption of Resolutions, to be <br />considered separately. Mr. Guerrero moved for approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held January 18, 2007, approval of minutes of the Special <br />Meeting held January 24, 2006, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, <br />adoption of the remaining four Resolutions, and approval and receive the <br />Quarterly Investment Report for the Quarter Ending December 31, 2006, on <br />consent, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
