23 RESOlDTION 1981- 32R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A USE AGREE- MENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SAN ~~RCOS LIONS CLUB FOR THE RENTAL OF INNER TUBES BY SAID CLUB AT CITY PARK FOR A TERM OF SIX MONTHS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR PRO TEMPORE OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the San Marcos Lions Club provides a worthwhile service to the citizens of San Marcos and to visitors to San Marcos through its inner tube rental operation; and, WHEREAS, funds obtained from said inner tube rental opera- tion are returned to the community through a number of meritorious projects; and, WHEREAS, the San Marcos Lions Club has a temporary need for premises from which to operate said inner tube rental; and, WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos believes a portion of the parking lot area in City Park may be used by the San Marcos Lions Club in conducting said inner tube rental without affecting the right of access of the public to City Park; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the use agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas, and the San Marcos Lions Club concerning the rental by said Club of inner tubes at City Park in said City, a copy of which is attached hereto and inco:r:porated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the same is hereby, approved in all respects. PART 2. That the Mayor Pro Tempore of said City, John J. Stoke~be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said use agree- ment on behalf of said City. PART 3. That this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage. ADOPTED this 20thday of A ttes t: City
