Mayor Narvaiz's second <br />question, "Describe how you would develop collaborative partnerships with <br />the Economic Development Board, the Mayor, City Council and City Staff to <br />insure seamless business transactions?" <br /> <br />Margie Moore introduced the first candidate, Durquia Guillen Ms Guillen <br />stated she received her Masters of Public Affairs from Lyndon B Johnson <br />School of Public Affairs, The University of Texas at Austin She stated <br />she was employed with the Legislature and national work with children or <br />youth for the past 15 years Ms Guillen closed by thanking the Council <br />and Ms Moore for the opportunity to interview for the Economic Development <br />Director position She stated she wanted to restate her interest in San <br />Marcos and the Economic Development opportunities She stated she feels <br />she has the skills and experience to perform the job She also feels there <br />are many different areas to the Economic Development job, and she has many <br />ideas and approaches to performing the job <br /> <br />Ms Moore introduced the second candidate, Nash Martinez Mr Martinez <br />stated he was born in Austin, Texas, where he currently lives He stated <br />he graduated from Texas State University, formerly known as Southwest Texasl <br />University, where he was a Student Senator He stated the last eight <br />years, he has worked with disgruntled taxpayers He stated he has worked <br />
