Mr. Bell stated he will be speaking to small groups of students in the near future. Mr. Mihalkanin thanked Mr. Bell for his hard work. He stated he has received several phone calls regarding noise complaints, which the officers respond and issue warning tickets. Chief Williams stated when an officer responds to a noise complaint, the process is subject to the officer's discretion. Mayor Narvaiz stated the Council needs to hold a discussion regarding the noise Ordinance. Mr. Jones thanked Mr. Bell for a job well done. He stated he feels the Council should hold a discussion regarding noise violations on a future agenda. Mr. Thomaides inquired where the most noise complaints occur. Chief Williams stated the most complaints come from apartments. Mayor Narvaiz inquired as to when the University students will be addressed regarding the Codes which are often violated. Mr. Bell stated the University students will be addressed before their next semester. I Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding City Council direction on future agenda items. 1) Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would like to have Staff update the Council on the status of patterns of Code Enforcement complaints in the last six months. Mr. Guerrero stated he feels the Austin Apartment Association should be included in the discussion, so they can discuss the issues they deal with. 2) Mr. Jones stated he would like to hold a discussion regarding directing truck traffic away from Hopkins Street. Mayor Narvaiz asked Staff to provide the history of directing truck traffic away from Hopkins Street to Council. She stated after Council reviews this information they can decide at the next meeting if they want to place a discussion on the agenda. I Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer or a matter involving attorney-~lient privilege (Wonder World Drive Extension Project) ; Sections 551.072 and 551.073, to discuss value of real property (North IH3S/Davis Lane area) ; negotiated contracts for prospective gifts or donations to the City (West San Antonio Street area) ; and Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of a financial or other incentive to such a business prospect (North IH3S area). The Council adjourned into Executive Session at 9:34 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 11:09 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff I on matters discussed in Executive Session.
