The Council adjourned into <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 7:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council <br />received advice from the City Attorney regarding CARTS and Texas State <br />University bus service and an agreement regarding Ross Allegro. He stated <br />the City Council provided direction regarding City Manager duties. Mr. <br />O'Leary stated the City Council provided direction regarding a business <br />prospect in the North IH35 area. <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. No one signed up to <br />speak. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report. Mr. O'Leary stated he did not <br />have a Staff Report. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Reports. 1) Mr. Bose stated he <br />attended the Firefighter Awards Banquet. He stated San Marcos is lucky to <br />have such quality firefighters. 2) Mr. Jones stated he attended the <br />Minority Tourism Board meeting. He stated they are having difficulty <br />understanding what expenditures are allowed with hotel tax funds. 3) Mr. <br />Jones stated last week his office had two citizen visits. He stated one <br />was interested in code violations and the other how the City conducts <br />business. 4) Mr. Jones stated he attended the Texas State Student <br />Government meeting where the R-1 enforcement was discussed. 5) Mr. <br />Thomaides stated he attended the Commuter Rail orientation, which he felt <br />was very beneficial. 6) Mr. Thomaides stated he attended the Chamber of <br />Commerce Casino Night at the Texas Disposal System Ranch. He thanked the <br />Chamber of Commerce for a job well done and TDS for the use of the Ranch. <br />7) Mr. Thomaides stated he also attended the Firefighter Awards Banquet. <br />He thanked the Firefighters for a job well done. 8) Mayor Narvaiz thanked <br />the Chamber of Commerce for a great casino event and Texas Disposal Systems <br />for the use of their facility. 9) Mayor Narvaiz thanked the Department of <br />Transportation Commission for the award of $60 million for the Wonder World <br />Extension. 10) Mayor Narvaiz stated she spoke at the Saints of Life Senior <br />Luncheon. She thanked the Saints of Life Seniors for inviting her. 11) <br />Mayor Narvaiz provided copies of a letter she received regarding a propose <br />tourism event which Fraye Stokes is trying to bring to San Marcos. She <br />stated if the Council is interested in bringing World War II P-51 Mustangs
