4. Regular Meeting April IS, 2006 Page 4 2006, the City hosted Representative Mike Krucee to tour the San Marcos Municipal Airport to explore diverting traffic from Bergstrom to San Marcos. She thanked Chuck Nash, Bill Burnett, and the Chamber for all their help with this tour. 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she gave testimony today at the Texas House regarding unfunded mandates. 7) Kyle Morris commended the UIL Team for their Speech and Debate efforts. S) Kyle Morris thanked Jeanette Hernandez for her participation in the China Care Program. 9) Kyle Morris stated he met with the University Administration regarding educating student leaders about code enforcement issues during Paws Preview. 10) Kyle Morris stated he would like the City and the University to do a mail-out to the students who are leaving campus. He stated he feels this would educate them about community and neighborhood issues. 11) Kyle Morris stated the integrated bus system referendum passed with 71% of the vote. I Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held March 31, 2006, approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 4, 2006, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held April 6, 2006, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, and adoption of nine Resolutions, on consent. The City Council removed Items 15, 21 and 22, adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Jones moved for approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held March 31, 2006, approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 4, 2006, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held April 6, 2006, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, and adoption of the remaining six Resolution, on consent, and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Ordinance and Resolutions read as follows: I Approval of Ordinance: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, CONVERTING THE ZONING OF ALL TRACTS OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY NOW ZONED AS "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "SF-6" (SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Adoption of Resolutions: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND KLOTZ ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH 2005 NEIGHBORHOOD SIDEWALKS PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
