<br />4. <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />April IS, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />2006, the City hosted Representative Mike Krucee to tour the San Marcos <br />Municipal Airport to explore diverting traffic from Bergstrom to San <br />Marcos. She thanked Chuck Nash, Bill Burnett, and the Chamber for all <br />their help with this tour. 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she gave testimony <br />today at the Texas House regarding unfunded mandates. 7) Kyle Morris <br />commended the UIL Team for their Speech and Debate efforts. S) Kyle Morris <br />thanked Jeanette Hernandez for her participation in the China Care Program. <br />9) Kyle Morris stated he met with the University Administration regarding <br />educating student leaders about code enforcement issues during Paws <br />Preview. 10) Kyle Morris stated he would like the City and the University <br />to do a mail-out to the students who are leaving campus. He stated he <br />feels this would educate them about community and neighborhood issues. 11) <br />Kyle Morris stated the integrated bus system referendum passed with 71% of <br />the vote. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Special Meeting held March 31, 2006, approval of minutes of the Regular <br />Meeting held April 4, 2006, approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held <br />April 6, 2006, approval of one Ordinance on second reading, and adoption of <br />nine Resolutions, on consent. The City Council removed Items 15, 21 and <br />22, adoption of Resolutions, to be considered separately. Mr. Jones moved <br />for approval of minutes of the Special Meeting held March 31, 2006, <br />approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held April 4, 2006, approval of <br />minutes of the Special Meeting held April 6, 2006, approval of one <br />Ordinance on second reading, and adoption of the remaining six Resolution, <br />on consent, and Mr. Diaz seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The captions of the Ordinance and Resolutions read as follows: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinance: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />CONVERTING THE ZONING OF ALL TRACTS OF PROPERTY IN THE CITY NOW ZONED <br />AS "R-1" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]) TO "SF-6" <br />(SINGLE-FAMILY DISTRICT); INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND <br />PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. <br /> <br />Adoption of Resolutions: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />APPROVING AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND KLOTZ ASSOCIATES, INC.
