<br />65. <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />May 16, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding a contribution to Envision <br />Central Texas budget from City of San Marcos budget FY2006-2007. Mr. <br />Thomaides stated he feels the City of San Marcos should contribute <br />$2,500.00, which is the same amount the City of Lockhart contributes. The <br />Council agreed by consensus to add the $2,500.00 to the budget list and <br />discuss this contribution during the Budget Workshops. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding City Council direction on <br />future agenda items. 1) Mr. Jones stated he would like for the Council to <br />hold a discussion regarding a requirement for people who drive and talk on <br />cell phones to use earpieces. He stated he would like to know whether the <br />City has authority to regulate earpieces. 2) Mr. Bose stated he would like <br />an update on the Wonder World Drive Extension. 3) Mr. Bose stated he would <br />also like to discuss a water control district and will discuss this with <br />the City Manager and bring it back to the Council at a later date. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced continuing the Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Bumb vs. City of San <br />Marcos; conditional use permit ordinance revisions). The Council adjourned <br />into Executive Session at 10:16 p.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 11:10 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session.
