The Council adjourned <br />into Executive Session at 6:05 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 7:01 p.m. (See Page <br />9 for continuation of Executive Session). <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the City <br />Council provided direction regarding how to proceed on a property exchange <br />in the 1200-1300 Blocks of IH35 North area. He stated the Council <br />discussed and provided direction regarding the value of real property in <br />the McCarty Lane area and also provided direction regarding conducting <br />economic development negotiations with a business prospect. <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. No one signed up to <br />speak during the Citizen Comment Period. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report. Mr. O'Leary stated he had no <br />Report. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mr. Bose reminded the <br />citizens of National Night Out, which is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1, <br />2006. He encouraged the citizens to attend their neighborhood events. 2) <br />Mr. Jones stated he attended the second Good Neighborhood Program meeting, <br />which he feels was very successful. 3) John Thomaides thanked everyone who <br />was involved with the Summerfest committee for another successful year. 4) <br />Mr. Guerrero also thanked the Summerfest committee for another successful <br />year. He also thanked the Fire Department for a wonderful fireworks <br />display. 5) Mayor Narvaiz thanked Terry Mitchell for the tour of the <br />Sanctuary Loft. She stated this project was very impressive and a great <br />addition to the area. 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she and Mr. O'Leary provided <br />a copy of the Resolution to the General Land Commission. She stated the <br />GLO has agreed to review the impact they are causing the City and to <br />resolve the problems of the removal of property from the tax rolls. 7) <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated the Clergy Breakfast will be held on July 19, 2006 at <br />8:00 a.m. and the discussion will be Affordable Housing. 8) Kyle Morris <br />stated he will be attending the Student Economic Development Advisory Board <br />meeting on Friday. 9) Kyle Morris stated $10,000.00 was left over from <br />another project, and he is proposing to use these funds for a new endowment <br />grant matching project. 10) Kyle Morris stated he also attended the second <br />Good Neighborhood meeting, which he feels is a successful program. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />
