The Council 1 <br />adjourned into Executive Session at 6:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 7:03 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the City <br />Council provided direction regarding how to proceed on the exchange of real <br />property (14-acre tract located on IH35). He stated the Council provided <br />direction regarding three development proposals IH35/McCarty Lane area, <br />IH35/Wonder World Drive area and Clovis Barker. He stated the Council also <br />provided direction on how to proceed with the City's RFPs. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. No one signed up to <br />speak during the Citizen Comment Period. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report. Mr. O'Leary stated he had no <br />Report. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mr. Thomaides stated <br />he attended several neighborhoods during the National Night Out. He <br />thanked everyone who participated in the National Night Out events. 2) Mr. <br />Thomaides thanked the citizens for doing a good job with maintaining the <br />litter at Rio Vista Falls. 3) Mr. Mihalkanin stated the good turnouts in <br />the neighborhoods for National Night Out is a reflection on our community. <br />4) Mr. Bose stated he visited 4 neighborhoods during the National Night <br />Out. He stated he had a good time and thanked everyone for the invitation. <br />5) Mr. Diaz stated he also visited different neighborhoods during National <br />Night Out. He thanked everyone who participated in the National Night Out. <br />6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended several National Night Out events in <br />local neighborhoods. She thanked the Police Department and the <br />neighborhood's representatives for a great job. 7) Mayor Narvaiz stated <br />she attended a memorial dedication for Kristian Menchaca, which was held at <br />Gary Job Corps. She stated Mr. Menchaca was killed in Iraq. She stated <br />she was honored to participate in the dedication. 8) Mayor Narvaiz <br />reminded the Council about the LBJ Museum dinner fundraiser invitation they <br />received and requested Council contact the City Clerk if they plan to <br />attend. 9) Mayor Narvaiz stated the City has received an invitation to <br />the State of Toyota luncheon. She stated if Council Members are interested <br />in attending to contact the City Clerk. 10) Kyle Morris stated he attended <br />several National Night Out events. He thanked the neighborhoods for the <br />community outreach. He stated he received several ideal to take back to <br />the University. 11) Kyle Morris stated he attended the CONA Meeting on <br />July 20th.
