The Council 1 adjourned into Executive Session at 6:05 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 7:03 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the City Council provided direction regarding how to proceed on the exchange of real property (14-acre tract located on IH35). He stated the Council provided direction regarding three development proposals IH35/McCarty Lane area, IH35/Wonder World Drive area and Clovis Barker. He stated the Council also provided direction on how to proceed with the City's RFPs. Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Citizen Comment Period. No one signed up to speak during the Citizen Comment Period. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report. Mr. O'Leary stated he had no Report. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mr. Thomaides stated he attended several neighborhoods during the National Night Out. He thanked everyone who participated in the National Night Out events. 2) Mr. Thomaides thanked the citizens for doing a good job with maintaining the litter at Rio Vista Falls. 3) Mr. Mihalkanin stated the good turnouts in the neighborhoods for National Night Out is a reflection on our community. 4) Mr. Bose stated he visited 4 neighborhoods during the National Night Out. He stated he had a good time and thanked everyone for the invitation. 5) Mr. Diaz stated he also visited different neighborhoods during National Night Out. He thanked everyone who participated in the National Night Out. 6) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended several National Night Out events in local neighborhoods. She thanked the Police Department and the neighborhood's representatives for a great job. 7) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended a memorial dedication for Kristian Menchaca, which was held at Gary Job Corps. She stated Mr. Menchaca was killed in Iraq. She stated she was honored to participate in the dedication. 8) Mayor Narvaiz reminded the Council about the LBJ Museum dinner fundraiser invitation they received and requested Council contact the City Clerk if they plan to attend. 9) Mayor Narvaiz stated the City has received an invitation to the State of Toyota luncheon. She stated if Council Members are interested in attending to contact the City Clerk. 10) Kyle Morris stated he attended several National Night Out events. He thanked the neighborhoods for the community outreach. He stated he received several ideal to take back to the University. 11) Kyle Morris stated he attended the CONA Meeting on July 20th. He stated he met a lot of good citizens. I I
