He stated this measure could become the main issue on the ballot, <br />which could cause other important issues to be overlooked. On roll call <br />for the amendment, the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Mihalkanin and Narvaiz. <br />NAY: Guerrero, Diaz, Jones and Bose. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Motion to remove Measure No. 5 from the ordinance failed. Mr. Jones moved <br />to amend Section 7.02(4) of Measure No. 13 to read. . . simple majority <br />vote of the council. Mr. Taylor stated the entire sentence would need to <br />be deleted, which would means it would take a super majority vote to <br />overturn the Planning and Zoning Commission's decision. Mr. Jones withdrew <br />his motion to amend. Mr. Guerrero moved to reconsider Measure No. 5, and <br />Mr. Thomaides seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. <br />Mihalkanin moved to remove Measure No. 5 Section 3.02 of the City Charter <br />to change the minimum age of Council Members from 18 to 21, and Mr. <br />Guerrero seconded the motion. Mr. Guerrero stated after considering the <br />comments previously made, he would like to vote again. Mr. Mihalkanin <br />moved to end the debate, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion. On roll <br />call to end the debate, the following vote was recorded: <br />AYE: Thomaides, Guerrero, Mihalkanin, Narvaiz, Diaz and Jones. <br />NAY: Bose. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mr. Jones moved to Table the Ordinance.
