He <br />stated he also attended the Sights and Sounds Gala, which he thanked Grande <br />Communications for sponsoring. 8) Mr. Thomaides stated he willing be <br />attending the Corridor Council Workshop where the Commuter Rail will be <br />discussed. He reminded the citizens that the Council will be holding a <br />Austin/San Antonio Commuter Rail Workshop on Friday, December 15, 2006 at <br />11:30 a.m. in the Council Chambers. 9) Ms. Couch encouraged the public to <br />attend the LBJ Museum Opening on Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. <br />10) Ms. Couch also thanked the citizens of San Marcos who voted her into <br />office. 11) Mr. Bose congratulated the San Marcos Rattlers on their win on <br />Friday. He also encouraged the citizens to attend the game on Friday, <br />December 08, 2006 in Bobcat Stadium. 12) Mr. Bose also thanked all the <br />volunteers who helped make Sights and Sounds a success. 13) Mr. Guerrero <br />thanked the San Marcos Fire Department and Police Department for helping <br />direct traffic at the Outlet Mallon Thursday and Friday, November 23 and <br />24, 2006. 14) Mr. Guerrero thanked Danny Arrenando and his committee for <br />their hard work with the Blue Santa Program. He stated the Blue Santa <br />Program is still in need of toys and if anyone would like to donate please <br />call the Police Department. 15) Mayor Narvaiz stated she attended the <br />Hispanic Chamber luncheon where they also accepted donations for Blue <br />Santa. 16) Mayor Narvaiz congratulated Texas State University for their $5 <br />I million Ingram donation they received for their Technology Department. She <br />congratulated TSU President Dr. Trauth and former Mayor Habingreither. 17) <br />Mayor Narvaiz stated that there will be a community Rattler pep rally on <br />Thursday, December 7, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. She stated this will be held at <br />the Bobcat Stadium and the admission will be a can of food. 18) Mayor <br />Narvaiz read a letter from Kathy Dowling, teacher at San Marcos High <br />School. The letter thanked John Burke, Municipal Court Staff, Interim City <br />Attorney Andy Quittner and Assistant City Attorney Jan Clark for their help <br />with the Mock Trial. 19) Mayor Narvaiz thanked Donna Hill, Parks <br />Department, Robert Cotner, Kelly Franks and the Sights and Sound Committee <br />for making this year another successful year. 20) Mayor Narvaiz stated <br />Texas State University provides an Off Campus Survival Guide, which <br />includes a Mayor's letter. She stated she is requesting that the City be <br />allowed to include the residence zoning information. 21) Mayor Narvaiz <br />stated she has received letters in support of the Texas State Forensic <br />Research Program. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the <br />Regular Meeting held November 21, 2006, approval of an Ordinance on second <br />reading, adoption of an Ordinance on third and final reading, adoption of <br />five Resolutions, approval of Quarterly Investment Report for quarter <br />ending September 30, 2006, and approval of Change in Services No, 2 in the <br />I amount of $287,680.00 related to the Final Design of the Rio Vista Terrance <br />Subdivision Reconstruction Project with Bryn & Associates, on consent.
