Regular Meeting December 11, 2006 Page 8 Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Ms. Robertson moved for approval of Ordinance on first reading, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced a public hearing and consideration of adoption Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: I AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAROCS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP FROM "HI" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO nHC" HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT, FOR AN 8.22 ACRE, MORE OR LESS, TRACT OF LAND LOCATED AT 1942 IH-35 SOUTH; FOR AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY BY REZONING THIS TRACT FROM nHI" HEAVY INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT TO nHC" HEAVY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND PROVIDING FOR PENALTIES. Mr. O'Leary stated this is the location of the Feed Store. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance. Mayor Narvaiz introduced consideration of adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING DIVISION 15 OF ARTICLE 3 OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CITY CODE TO CHANGE THE COMPOSITION AND DUTIES OF THE CONVENTION AND VISITOR BUREAU ADVISORY BOARD; INCLUDING PROCEDURAL PROVISIONS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. I Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
