42 Regular Meeting January 11,1988 Page 4 (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DIS- TRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning change. Ken Kraus was present representing SB&K and stated the zoning change was needed for the assembly of a product. No one else wished to speak for or against the zoning change, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER ~LAN OF SAID CITY, OF LOT 1, lA, 2, 3 AND 4 OF SB&K JOINT VENTURE SUBDIVISION, SECTION 1, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 4, PAGE 277 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF UHLAND ROAD, EAST OF IH35, FROM COMMERCIAL TO INDUSTRIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the land use change. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolu- tion and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A SPEED LIMIT ON FM 3407 (WONDER WORLD DRIVE) IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A NO PARKING - TOW AWAY ZONE ON ALN10 STREET AND ON HARVARD STREET AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Farr. Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola.
