Mr. Brown moved to amend the Ordinance to add the following to Section 9-4.3: ". . . . (j) The Electrical Contractor shall display the company name and the license number of the Master Electrician that the Contractor operates under in letters not less than two (2) inches in height on both sides of all vehicles," and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Farr not present to vote on this item). On roll call for adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Farr. Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Nicola. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of five appoint- ments to the City of San Marcos Electrical Board. Mr. Guerra expressed concern for no minorities being recommended to serve on the Board. Mr. Guerra moved to table the appointments to the February 22 Regular Council Meeting and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN ~ffiRCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF SEWAGE PUMPS WITHOUT COMPETITIVE BIDDING ON SAME AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez se- conded the motion. Mayor Younger moved to amend the Resolution in the caption to add "WATER AND SEWAGE PUMPS AND MOTORS", to delete the words "eleven (11)" from the first paragraph of the Resolution which begins with the word Whereas, to add "water and sewage pumps and motors" in two places in the second paragraph beginning with the word Whereas, and to change and add language in Part l. as follows: "purchase of thirteen (13) water and sewage pumps and motors. . . .", and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Hernandez, Nicola. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Guerra. Mr. Boeker advised the Council the reason for the one source on these pumps and motors is that they are to be standby pumps to fit in place of pumps already in operation, and they have to be the same to fit. On roll call for adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Hernandez, Nicola. NAY: Younger. ABSTAIN: None.
