0 Youth fepresentative oft the Youth Commission. <br />• Family Member parents — through parent and guardian groups such as <br />PTO /PTA /Booster Clubs /Home School Association. <br />• Youth service providers. <br />• Faith based community. <br />• Non - profit. <br />• Public Safety. <br />• Community members that have experience as teachers and /or expertise <br />in early childhood, youth or general education policy. <br />(b) The representatives of partner organizations shall serve a term <br />of two years. Representatives of key San Marcos partner organizations such as <br />SMCISD, United Way of Hays County and Texas State University may be <br />appointed to serve multiple terms to ensure accountability and buy -in by those <br />organizations. <br />(c) Representatives of key constituency groups will serve one -year terms, <br />so that new representatives are able to participate over time. Those wishing <br />to serve on a subcommittee shall submit a volunteer annlication to the <br />commission. <br />Sec. 2.370.27. Duties; meetings; reports. <br />(a) The commission shall have the following duties and functions: <br />(1) Mobilize the partner organizations and the community to achieve the <br />goals and implement the strategies set forth in the Youth Master Plan. <br />(2) Periodically review progress toward meeting the goals of the Youth <br />Master Plan. <br />(3) Develop a process to recommend additional goals or refine existing <br />goals. <br />2 <br />
