<br />89 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />May <br /> <br />9, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILillINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br />1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 1.246 ACRES OF LAND SITUATED <br />IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2 AND BEING THE <br />SAME LAND CALLED FIRST TRACT AND SECOND TRACT IN A <br />CONVEYANCE FROM T. B. LEE TO SHAW P. BREEDING RECORDED <br />IN VOLUME 137, PAGES 187-188, OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED <br />RECORDS LOCATED AT 1901 RIVER ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE- <br />DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO fiR-I" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING <br />DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak in regard to the zoning amendment. Michael Shanley stated <br />he was the owner of the property and he was going to build a home for <br />his parents if the zoning was approved. No one else wished to speak, <br />so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved to <br />adopt the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR BLOCK 15, LOTS 316- <br />321 AND 381-384 OF THE WESTOVER ADDITION TO THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 59, PAGE 184 <br />OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS; LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST <br />SIDE OF THE 1200 BLOCK OF BISHOP STREET, FROM LOW DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL TO PBULIC AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the land use change. No one did, so Mayor Morris <br />closed the public hearing.
