89 Regular Meeting May 9, 1988 Page 2 Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILillINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 1.246 ACRES OF LAND SITUATED IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2 AND BEING THE SAME LAND CALLED FIRST TRACT AND SECOND TRACT IN A CONVEYANCE FROM T. B. LEE TO SHAW P. BREEDING RECORDED IN VOLUME 137, PAGES 187-188, OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS LOCATED AT 1901 RIVER ROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE- DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT) TO fiR-I" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak in regard to the zoning amendment. Michael Shanley stated he was the owner of the property and he was going to build a home for his parents if the zoning was approved. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Hernandez moved to adopt the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR BLOCK 15, LOTS 316- 321 AND 381-384 OF THE WESTOVER ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME 59, PAGE 184 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS; LOCATED IN THE NORTHEAST SIDE OF THE 1200 BLOCK OF BISHOP STREET, FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO PBULIC AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the land use change. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimous- ly. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the land use change. No one did, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing.
