140 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JUNE 27, 1988 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Fred Guerra Billy G. Hankins Larry Gilley Steve Jenkins Ross Allegro Jack Doughty Myron Galchutt Also Present: Patty Wenk, Mark Hendricks, Chris Tinnell, Larry Brink- meyer, Nina Pryatel, Roy Peyton, Nick Caruso, Melissa Millecam, Jack Mutschlechner, Larry Dupont, Ben Ford, Jeff Kester, Steve Smith, John Bell, Ruth Ann Hoch, Jane Hughson, Dean Shumaker, Mike Wood, Dan Nelson, Dan Gibson, Austin Curlee and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:52 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to the Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals to complete a vacan- cy. Mayor Morris moved to appoint Ron Balderach and Mr. Guerra se- conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Cemetery Commission. Mr. Guerra moved to reappoint John R. Beene, Sr. and Mayor Morris seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of appointments to the Sunset Advisory Board. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Keith Ferguson, Mayor Morris moved to appoint Betty Kissler's nomination of Ted Hindson and Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Bennie Blansett. The Council voted unanimously for approval of these three appoint- ments. Mr. Brown's appointment will be scheduled in July. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appoint- ment to the Library Board. Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Tony Mendez and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and ap- proval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows; AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDIN- ANCES BY REPEALING THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT DIS- TRICT PROVISIONS AND REVISING THE PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT PROVISIONS IN THE GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE AND IN THE SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE, BY AMENDING THE SAN MARCOS RIVER CORRIDOR ORDINANCE TO REFLECT THE CHANGES IN THE ZONING ORDINANCE, REVISING ARTICLE I, PLANNED DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT, CORRECTING ERRORS IN CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE COMPREHENSIVE DEVELOPMENT CODE AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. * Mr. Brown and Ms. Kissler were not present at this meeting.
