Regular Meeting November 20, 2007 Page 3 attended the TML Conference in Dallas. She also attended Meet and Confer Sessions with the Police Association, regarding a plan for the future. She thanked everyone who was involved in the Veteran's Day Parade and other events, which was a full week of honor. She also thanked Goodnight for their Veteran's Breakfast and Bowie for allowing her to read a story about our flag during story time. She stated she also met with Senator Hutchison to discuss events and other issues in the San Marcos area. Mayor Narvaiz also stated she attended the dedication of the Chief Placido statue and hosted a tribal group. She stated she and the Southside Community Center Board served Thanksgiving lunch on Friday, November 16, 2007. She announced that Dos Flores Restaurant would be serving Thanksgiving Day Feast from 11:00 to 2:00 at no charge for the under privileged. Mayor Narvaiz read a letter of appreciation for several Police Officers and a Dispatcher. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 5, 2007, approval of three Ordinances on second reading, adoption of eight Resolutions, on consent. The Council pulled Item 11, approval of Ordinance on second reading and Item 15, adoption of Resolution to be considered separately. Mr. Jones moved for approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 5, 2007, approval of two Ordinances on reading, and adoption of the remaining seven Resolutions, on consent, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Ms. Porterfield abstained from Item 10, approval of minutes from November 5, 2007).
