Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in the City Council Chambers, <br />630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tern Jude Prather, <br />Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />1. 5:30PM <br />Executive Session in accordance with Section § 551.087 of the Texas Government <br />Code: Economic Development - receive a briefing from Greater San Marcos <br />Partnership President Adriana Cruz and deliberate regarding the potential offer of <br />Economic Development Incentives to Project Orange and Project Power Chip; and in <br />accordance with Section §551.072 of the Texas Government Code: Real Property - <br />deliberate regarding the possible acquisition of land along the San Marcos River. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, to <br />enter Executive Session at approximately 5:31 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7- Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt <br />and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />2. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />The Council reconviened into regular session at approximately 6:32 p.m. Council provided <br />direction to Staff in Executive Session. <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />3. Receive a Staff presentation and hold a discussion regarding impacts of the rainfall on <br />Saturday November 22, 2014, to construction projects and measures underway to <br />address issues, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Laurie Moyer, Director of Engineering /CIP, provided the Council with a presentation regarding <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
