The Council directed a typographical error in Exhibit B, Multiple Dwelling Units & Trailer Parks, in the last sentence be corrected to read "multiplied". The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 9 1/2-1(c) OF CHAPTER 9 1/2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO INCREASE SMEU ELECTRIC TARIFFS, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Morris moved to amend Exhibit A to adopt Pages 1-34 (electric tariffs) only and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris moved to amend Page 32 Deposits - Rate Schedule - Deposits (Application) in No.1 to delete the words "at a differe-nt" place" from the first sentence, and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX C - SpBDIVISIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY MODIFYING LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE,V, SECTION A OMITTING REFERENCE TO PRELIMINARY PLAT AND ADDING LANGUAGE ON FEES; AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION B.5(a) " CONCERNING FEES; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED IN ARTICLE V, SECTION B.3 AND CHANGING THE REQUIREMENTS FOR MYLARS; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED IN ARTICLE V., SECTION D.2.b; CHANGING THE MYLAR REQUIREMENT IN ARTICLE V., SECTIONE.1.b; OMITTING LANGUGE IN ARTICLE V., SECTION E.1.E.7 WHICH CONCERNS ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION OF A PLAT; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED AND FEES IN ARTICLE V., SECTION E.3; CHANGING LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE V., SECTIN E.1.e.(10) IN THE CERTIFICATE OF RECORDATION ON A PLAT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Moore moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Moore stated the amendments are to make the Ordinance more effective. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as fo llows : AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTON 2-31 OF DIVISION 1 OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE OFFICER, TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE SERGEANT, AND TO APPROVE A NEW CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE CAPTAIN AND PRESCRIBE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN SUCH CLASSIFICATION; AND DECLARING AN" EFFECTIVE DATE.
