Mr. Brown moved to amend the Ordinance to read as Mr. Hankins read into the record and Mayor Morris seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of minutes from the Regular Meeting held September 26, 1988, the Special Meeting of the Council and the San Marcos Electric Utility Board held October 3, 1988, the Special Meeting held October 3, 1988; approval of three Ordinances on second reading; adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading; adoption of three Resolutions; and a motion for approval to postpone the award of bid of the Cemetery Maintenance Contract to the Regular Meeting to be held October 24, 1988 by consensus. The Council requested Item 11.D. (1), adoption of a Resolution, be removed from the consensus agenda. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the minutes of the three meetings; approval of the three Ordinances on second reading; adoption of one Ordinance on third and final reading; adoption of the remaining two Resolutions; and approval of the motion to postpone the award of bid of the Cemetery Maintenance Contract to October 24, 1988 by consensus and Mr. Moore seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of the Ordinances and Resolutions read as follows: Approval of Ordinances on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING APPENDIX C - SUBDIVISIONS OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY MODIFYING LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE V, SECTION A OMITTING REFERENCE TO PRELIMINARY PLAT AND ADDING LANGUAGE ON FEES; AMENDING ARTICLE V, SECTION B.5(a) CONCERNING FEES; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED IN ARTICLE V, SECTION B.3 AND CHANGING THE REQUIREMENT FOR MYLARS; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED IN ARTICLE V., SECTION D.2.b.; CHANGING THE MYLAR REQUIREMENT IN ARTICLE V., SECTION E.1.b.; OMITTING LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE V., SECTION E.1.E.7 WHICH CONCERNS ENGINEERING CERTIFICATION OF A PLAT; CHANGING THE NUMBER OF COPIES OF PLATS REQUIRED M~D FEES IN ARTICLE V., SECTION E.3; CHANGING LANGUAGE IN ARTICLE V, SECTION E.1e(10) IN THE CERTIFICATE OF RECORDATION ON A PLAT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 2-31 OF DIVISION 1 OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO INCREASE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE OFFICER, TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN THE CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE SERGEANT, AND TO APPROVE A NEW CLASSIFICATION OF POLICE CAPTAIN AND PRESCRIBE THE NUMBER OF POSITIONS WITHIN SUCH CLASSIFICATION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE IX, ENTITLED "SAN MARCOS SUNSET ADVISORY COMMISSION" BY CHANGING SECTION 2-136 TO PROVIDE FOR THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS EVERY THREE (3) YEARS BEGINNING IN JUNE, 1989 FOR TERMS NOT TO EXCEED TWELVE (12) MONTHS.
