Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:37 p.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014 in the City Council <br />Chambers, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Thomaides arrived following Roll Call at 5:50 p.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Council Member Ryan <br />Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, <br />Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson <br />PRESENTATIONS <br />1. Receive a Staff update and hold discussion regarding the City of San Marcos' Federal <br />Policy Priorities, and provide direction to Staff and the Normandy Group. <br />Trey Hatt, Interim Director of Communications /Intergovernmental Relations, and Christine <br />Pellerin and Henry Bonia with the Normandy Group provided the Council with an update of the <br />City's Federal Policy Priorities. Council provided consensus to add the HUD program Choice of <br />Neighborhoods to the list of priorities. <br />2. Receive a presentation from the Lion's Club Tube Rental regarding their recent <br />operating season. <br />Mr. Mike Rhodes with the Lion's club provided an update on the recent operating season. <br />6:00 PM <br />III. Invocation <br />A moment of silence was observed this evening. <br />IV. Pledges Of Allegiance - United States And Texas <br />Council Member Prewitt led the pledges. <br />V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Joe Ptak, San Marcos, addressed the Council regarding the adoption of a resolution to add <br />funding for the San Marcos Urban Transportation District. He provided information on recent <br />studies regarding transportation needs within San Marcos and the surrounding areas. He <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
