City Council Meeting Minutes December 16, 2014 <br />the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning a 5.94 acre, more or less, tract of land <br />out of the J.M. Veramendi Survey No. 1, being Lot 1 of the Thornton Addition, located <br />at the intersection of IH -35 and Luciano Flores Boulevard (Thornton Tract), from "FD" <br />Future Development District to "GC" General Commercial District, save and except the <br />portions of said tract designated as Floodway and Water Quality Zones and the <br />portion of said tract along the frontage of IH -35 already zoned "GC" General <br />Commercial District; and including procedural provisions. <br />Kristy Stark, Assistant Director of Development Services, provided a brief update. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing at 8:20 p.m. <br />Ed Theriot, ETR Development Consulting, Lockhart, TX, stated that he was available for <br />questions. <br />There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 8:20 p.m. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, to <br />approve Ordinance 2014 -73, on the first of two readings as previously captioned. The motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />For: 7 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, <br />Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt <br />and Council Member Hughson <br />Against: 0 <br />14. Consider approval of Ordinance 2014 -74, on the first of two readings, amending <br />the Official Zoning Map of the City by rezoning a 0.305 acre, more or less, tract of <br />land, being Lot 2, Block '16, Original Town of San Marcos, located at 136 and 140 <br />South Fredericksburg Street, from Downtown Smartcode 74" General Urban District <br />to 75" Urban Center District; and including procedural provisions. <br />Kristy Stark, Assistant Director of Development Services, provided a brief update. <br />Mayor Guerrero opened the Public Hearing at 8:24 p.m. <br />Carter Morris, 16 Greenpointe, stated that he was available for questions. <br />There being no further comments, the Mayor closed the Public Hearing at 8:24 p.m. <br />A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Council Member Prewitt, to <br />approve Ordinance 2014 -743 on the first of two readings as previoussy captioned.
