<br />WHAT <br />ADVANTAGES <br />WILL THE NEW <br />LIBRARY HA VE <br />OVER THE OLD <br />ONE? <br /> <br />In addition to providing much neededspacefor shelving and workspace, <br />the new library will havesorne features which have been lacking in our <br />existing facility. For example, the new building will have a separate <br />children's area and story time room. It will also have an audiovìsUiÛ <br />room in whichparronscanpreview films. type, workat a microcomputer, <br />listen. to records or tapes, etc. A speciaL area in the new library will be <br />available. to house and dispiayourgrowing local history and T exaM col- <br />lections. Small conference. rooms will be provided for group study <br />sessions. tutOring, income tax assistance or smail commiueemeetings. A <br />large meeting room will also be available for larger meetings and library <br />programs. <br /> <br />The new library will also offer the convenience of a drive-through <br />bookdropand improvedparlcing facilities. Our present parking . lot is <br />often too crowdedfor our patrons and is so narrow that it ìsdifficult to <br />pull in and out safely. <br /> <br />HOW MUCH <br />WILL THE NEW <br />UBRARYCOST? <br /> <br />The totalproject costforthe.27,ooo square foot library ìsestimatedto be <br />$2,685,000.
