Regular Meeting December 4, 2007 Page 3 <br />citizens who took part in the Downtown Master Plan meetings and thank the <br />Downtown Master Plan Task Force for their hard work. 6) Mayor Narvaiz <br />stated she also attended the Habitat for Humanity ribbon cutting, which is <br />their 9th house in San Marcos. She stated there is a challenge to have <br />people build more homes and the Council has helped by waiving fees. She <br />stated these homes are not free, the individuals put sweat equity into the <br />home. Mayor Narvaiz read a letter regarding Richard Mendoza and Rebecca <br />Britain and the help they provided during a street oil problem. Mayor <br />Narvaiz stated she attended a press conference with Congressman Doggett for <br />a donation to the ALERRT Center, which has added a new element to train <br />National Guard. Mayor Narvaiz stated she meet with TxDOT regarding the <br />FM110 progress. She also stated the Commissioners Court will meet on <br />December 19th with TxDOT regarding the funding. Mayor Narvaiz stated she <br />was happy to report that the Skate Park lighting will be delivered soon. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of minutes of Special <br />Meeting held November 19, 2007, approval of minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />held November 20, 2007, approval of two Ordinances on second reading, <br />adoption of three Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of six <br />Resolutions, on consent. The Council pulled Item 16, adoption of Ordinance <br />on third and final reading, and Items 18 and 19, adoption of Resolutions, <br />to be considered separately. Mr. Jones moved for approval of minutes of <br />Special Meeting held November 19, 2007, approval of minutes of Regular <br />Meeting held November 20, 2007, approval of two Ordinances on second <br />reading, adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading, adoption of <br />the remaining four Resolutions, including amendments to Item 20, <br />Resolution, on consent, and Ms. Couch seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously.
