Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:32 p.m. Tuesday January 20, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, <br />630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Thomason was absent due to business travel. <br />Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member John Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro <br />Tem Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and <br />Council Member Jane Hughson <br />Absent: 1 - Council Member Ryan Thomason <br />"'RESENTATIONS <br />1. Receive a Staff presentation and provide direction regarding Taxi Cab Rates of Fare <br />regulated by Ordinance and potentially regulating by Ordinance Transportation <br />Networking Companies, such as Uber and Lyft. <br />Police Chief Chase Stapp led a discussion and presented information regarding Taxi Cab rates <br />and the regulation of Transportation Networking Companies. <br />Following Council discussion Staff was directed to move forward with bringing back proposed <br />language amending the Ordinance. The Council provided consensus that they were more <br />interested in the registration of Transportation Networking Companies versus regulating them. <br />This will be brought back at a future meeting. <br />2. Receive a Staff presentation and hold discussion regarding the 2014 Wastewater <br />Master Plan, and provide direction to Staff. <br />Richard Reynosa, Project Engineer, introduced an engineer from Freese and Nichols to outline <br />the Wastewater Master Plan. There was no additional direction. <br />6:00 PM <br />III. Invocation <br />A moment of silence was observed. <br />i.
