City Council Meeting Minutes January 6, 2015 There being no further comments Mayor Guerrero closed the Public Hearing at 8:26 p.m. A motion was made by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, to appove Resolution 2015 -04R, as previously captioned. Due to failure to garner a majority, the motion died by the following vote: For: 3 - Mayor Guerrero, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott and Mayor Pro -Tem Prather Against: 3 - Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson Abstain: 1 - Council Member Thomason NON - CONSENT AGENDA 12. Discuss and consider an appointment to fill a vacancy on the Tax Increment Financing District (TIRZ) Number 4 - Paso Robles Board of Directors, and provide direction to Staff. A motion was made by Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, seconded by Mayor Guerrero, that Council Member John Thomaides fill the vacancy on the TIRZ #4 - Paso Robles Board of Directors. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 7- Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomaides, Council Member Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, Council Member Prewitt and Council Member Hughson Against: 0 13. Receive a Staff update regarding bond refunding, and provide direction to Staff. Steve Parker, Assistant City Manager gave a brief presentation regarding the recent bond refinancing and how it will result in over $5.2 million in interest savings over the next 18 years. VI.
