36 Regular Meeting January 12, 1987 Page 2 Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of four appoint- ments to the Parks and Recreation Board. Mayor Younger moved to place in nomination the names of Frank Gonzalez, James Garber, Leslie Spears, Paul Paese and Bobby Warren and Mr. Guerra se- conded the motion. The new members of the Parks and Recreation Board are Frank Gonzalez, James Garber, Leslie Spears and Bobby Warren. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Senior Citizens Advisory Board. Mayor Younger moved to appoint Archie Pa~ks and reappoint Katherine hardeman and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council directed the other two appointments and a vacancy on this Board be scheduled for the January 26 meeting. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appointments to the Planning Commission to complete two vacancies. Mr. Farr moved to place in nomination the names of Ron hart, John Wade and Marjorie Leder and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. Mr. Wade and Mrs. Leder are the new Members who will complete the vacancies of Gayle Ross and Mike Moore, both terms expiring in October, 1987. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of three appoint- ments to the Emergency Medical Service (EMS) Committee. Mr. Farr moved to reappoint Nancy Ellis and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. It was consensus of Council that the City's representatives to this Committee be restricted to residents of the City. The other two appointments will be scheduled for the January 26 meeting. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the City Man- ager's employment of an Assistant City Manager. Mr. Gonzalez advised the Council he was requesting their approval of his employment of Larry Dale Gilley as the Assistant City Manager. Mayor Younger moved to approve Larry Dale Gilley as the Assistant City Manager and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
