Call To Order With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:01 p.m. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. II. Roll Call Council Member Prewitt arrived after roll call at 5:03 p.m. Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott arrived after roll call at 5:45p.m. Council Member Thomaides was absent due to illness. Present: 6 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Shane Scott, Mayor Pro -Tem Jude Prather, Council Member Lisa Prewitt and Council Member Jane Hughson Absent: 1 - Council Member John Thomaides EXECUTIVE SESSION 1. 5:OOPM Executive Session in accordance with Section §551.087 of the Texas Government Code: Economic Development - to receive a briefing from the Greater San Marcos Partnership and deliberate regarding the potential offer of Economic Development Incentives to the following projects: 011ie, Sun Spot, Power Chip, French 75, Go Team, Red River, Sensor, and IQ. A motion was made by Council Member Hughson, seconded by Mayor Pro -Tem Prather, to adjourn into Executive Session at 5:03 p.m. The motion carried by the following vote: For: 4 - Mayor Guerrero, Council Member Thomason, Mayor Pro -Tem Prather and Council Member Hughson Against: 0 Absent: 3 - Council Member Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Scott and Council Member Prewitt 2. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. The Council reconviened into open session at 5:34 p.m. The Council received updates on the following projects: 011ie, Sun Spot, Power Chip, Go Team, Red River, and IQ.
