ATTACHMENT A <br />k I o t z 4�51 a s s o c i a t e s <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />ENGINEERING DESIGN PHASE SERVICES <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />WALLACE ADDITION — WATER AND WASTEWATER IMPROVEMENTS <br />Klotz Associates, Inc., (Engineer) will provide design, bidding, and construction phase services <br />for the City of San Marcos (City) for approximately 1,300 linear feet of 12 -inch water line, 1,800 <br />linear feet of 8 -inch water line, and 600 linear feet of 8 -inch gravity wastewater line. The 12- <br />inch waterline will replace existing waterlines in the street from the intersection of Staples <br />Road and SH123 along Staples Road to its intersection with Durango Street. The proposed fl- <br />inch water line will replace existing 6 -inch water lines along Durango Street from Staples Road <br />to Juarez Avenue, along Juarez Avenue to its intersection with Tampico Street, and along <br />Tampico Street toward Staples Road. The proposed 12 -inch and 8 -inch water lines will connect <br />to form a complete looped waterline. Installation of this waterline will remove undersized <br />water mains and replace the aging waterlines and appurtenances in the area in order to reduce <br />maintenance issues. The 8 -inch wastewater line will replace an existing wastewater line from <br />Cape Road, through an easement to Tampico Street, and through another easement to a <br />manhole in Laredo Street. The existing line is in need of replacement because it is aging and <br />sagging. <br />The following is a description of the Scope of Work for Design, Bid, and Construction Phase <br />services for this project. <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br />Final Design Phase <br />Engineer will provide the following services during the Bid Phase of the Project. <br />Task 1— Project Management <br />Engineer will provide weekly status reports and monthly invoices to cover work completed as of <br />the billing period. The status report will summarize work completed, list the work scheduled to <br />be completed for the upcoming week, and identify any outstanding issues or decisions that <br />must be resolved by the project team. <br />Task 2 — Design Survey <br />Engineer will obtain a design survey for the proposed water and wastewater lines. The local <br />utility location service will be contacted prior to the survey which will pick up identified utilities, <br />property line information, surface improvements, and contour data. <br />Page 1of5 <br />
