k I o t z 4,51 a s s o c i a t e s <br />Task 3 - Easement Documents <br />The wastewater line is currently located in a 20 -foot wide drainage easement. Engineer will <br />obtain easement survey and field notes for six (6) properties to allow the City to change the <br />existing drainage easements into wastewater and drainage easements. We understand that <br />survey and field notes will not be required for temporary construction easements. A figure on <br />an aerial map illustrating the proposed temporary construction easement width and location <br />will be provided to the City. Easement acquisition is excluded from this scope of work and <br />anticipated to be performed by the City but can be addressed by the Engineer as an additional <br />service, if desired. <br />Task 4 - Geotechnical Evaluation <br />Engineer will obtain a Geotechnical Evaluation of the proposed alignment. The evaluation will <br />include four (4) subsurface borings with testing to determine the engineering properties of the <br />material anticipated to be encountered in the trench. <br />Task 5 - Design Drawings <br />Engineer will prepare detailed plan and profile sheets, details, and general construction notes <br />necessary to convey the intent of the project to solicit a competitive bid from prospective <br />contractors. The plans shall include necessary erosion and sedimentation controls, as well as <br />standard traffic control detail sheets. The plan and profile sheets shall be full size 22 "x34" and <br />prepared at a horizontal scale of 1" = 20'. The City will be provided with five (5) sets of half - <br />scale drawings and an electronic version (pdf) at the 30, 60, and 90 percent stage for review. <br />Engineer will provide an electronic (pdf) version of the final, sealed drawings for distribution by <br />the City. It is anticipated that the plan set will include 25 sheets. Meetings to discuss the <br />comments are not included in this scope of work. It is anticipated that comments will be <br />discussed via email and phone. <br />Task 6— Technical Specifications and Bid Form <br />Engineer will prepare the technical specifications and bid form for the Contract Manual. The <br />City will prepare the complete Contract Manual and Engineer will review the completed <br />manual. <br />Task 7 - Submit for Approvals <br />We understand that the City of San Marcos will coordinate approval of the final design from <br />TOOT for the portion in Staples Road. No effort has been included in this task for Klotz <br />Associates. <br />Page 2 of 5 <br />
