<br />4 <br /> <br />Special Meeting <br /> <br />February 2, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT ELECTION AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND THE SAN <br />1-'1ARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR <br />THE HOLDING OF AN ELECTION ON APRIL 4, 1987; AUTHOR- <br />IZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AGREE- <br />MENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded <br />the motion, which passed unaninously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A LONG DISTANCE SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND SAN MARCOS LONG DIS- <br />TANCE, INC.; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER <br />INTO THE AGREEMENT; AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved that Item 5B, the preceding Resolution, be reconsidered <br />and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Ms. <br />Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Coddington second- <br />ed the motion. Mr. Farr moved the Agreement attached to the Resolution <br />be amended in Section A.l. to provide "5+" long distance and to amend <br />Section B. from twenty days to fifteen days and Mr. Coddington seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously.
