<br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption
<br />of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows:

<br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE
<br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE
<br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13,
<br />1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING PREVIOUSLY UNZONED PROPERTY
<br />TO A ZONING DESIGNATION OF "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DIS-
<br />TRICT), BEING APPROXIMATELY 198.80 ACRES OF LAND,
<br />MORE OR LESS, ADJOINING THE EXISTING CITY LIMITS OF
<br />THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, OUT OF THE THOMAS H. FORSITH,
<br />BENJAMIN J. WHITE, LYDIA GLASGOW, JOHN MAXAMILLON AND

<br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to
<br />speak in favor or in opposition to the zoning request. No one did, so
<br />Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption
<br />of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Mr. Codding-
<br />ton asked about the business in the 1400 block of Franklin, and Mr.
<br />Robbins responded that Industrial Solvents would be a nonconforming
<br />use. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Zoning Ordin-
<br />ance.
