Mr. Farr introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 106.2 OF THE STANDARD BUILDING CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 5-26 OF DIVISION 2, AMENDMENTS, OF ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 5, BUILDINGS AND BUILDING REGULATIONS, OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO REFORM LANGUAGE THEREIN REGARDING BONDS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the mótion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 101.6(b) OF THE STANDARD PLUMBING CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 20-35, AMENDMENTS TO PLUMBING CODE, OF ARTICLE I OF CHAPTER 20, ENTITLED PLUMBING AND GAS, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES, TO INCREASE THE AMOUNT OF REQUIRED BONDS AND TO REFORM LANGUAGE REGARDING THE PURPOSE FOR SUCH BONDS, AND DE- CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on se- cond reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A TOW-AWAY ZONE AT THE ENTRANCE OF RIO VISTA PARK A/K/A REYNOLDS STREET AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Mr. Gonzalez provided the Council with a map of the location. Ed Salinas, a taxpayer, stated he did not think a tow-away zone at this location is needed. The Council advised Mr. Salinas emergency vehicles cannot get to the pool area if a tow-away zone is not provided. Mr. Hernandez moved to amend the Ordinance in SECTION 1. as follows: "Reynolds Street, both sides, frOm the entrance to Rio Vista Park," and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on second read- ing, the Council voted unanimously for approval. Mr. Farr introduced for consideration reconsideration of five Zoning Ordinances, which were adopted by the Council on May 11,1987. The Council did not wish to reconsider any of these Ordinances. The cap- tions of these Ordinances read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE l3, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING.236 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS: A/K/A 2203 POST ROAD, FROM "M" (SINGLE- FAMILY, DUPLEX, NEIGHBORHOOD BUSINESS DISTRICT) TO "MR" (MOBILE HOME AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
