Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as fol- lows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WEICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 1.003 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF A 16.08 ACRE TRACT AS DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 320, PAGES 499-505 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF RANCH ROAD 12, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOP- MENT DISTRICT) TO IIC" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT); AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra stated he would like the Staff to provide information to the Council on how much money is saved by the owner of property in a zoning change when the zoning change is initiated by the Staff. The Council voted unani- mously for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance.
