City Council Meeting Minutes March 17, 2015 <br />police car to Pink Heals Hays County; finding that such conveyance serves the public <br />purposes of Public Health Education by promoting Cancer Awareness and improving <br />Public Health by providing funding for Cancer treatment for the citizens in the City of <br />San Marcos, City of San Marcos employees, and Hays County; authorizing the City <br />Manager to execute a contract and any and all documents as necessary to transfer <br />title and convey the police car to Pink Heals; and declaring an effective date. <br />7. Consider approval of Resolution 2015 -31 R, approving the purchase of twelve 2015 <br />Chevrolet Caprices for use as pursuit vehicles for the Police Department from Reliable <br />Chevrolet through the Tarrant County Cooperative Purchasing Program (Contract <br />#2014 -165) in the total amount of $331,116.00; authorizing the City Manager or his <br />designee to execute the appropriate purchasing documents on behalf of the City and <br />declaring an effective date. <br />8. Consider approval of Resolution 2015 -32R, approving the purchase and installation of <br />law enforcement equipment for twelve new police pursuit vehicles for the Police <br />Department in the total amount of $97,235.76 from Fleet Safety Equipment, Inc. <br />through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buyboard contract for <br />Public Safety and Fire House supplies and equipment (Contract #363 -10); authorizing <br />the City Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate purchasing documents <br />on behalf of the City and declaring an effective date. <br />9. Consider approval of Resolution 2015 -33R, approving an Interlocal Cooperation <br />Agreement with Texas State University for the university's access to the city's Police <br />CAD /RMS /Mobile Client System; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to <br />execute the agreement on behalf of the City; and declaring effective date. <br />Council Member Hughson abstained from this item. <br />10. Consider approval of Resolution 2015 -34R approving the purchase of a 2015 Ford <br />F250 truck for the Community Services Department - Animal Services Division from <br />Silsbee Ford through the Texas Local Government Purchasing Cooperative Buyboard <br />Contract #430 -13, Vehicles, Heavy Duty Trucks and Options in the total amount of <br />$36,598.50; a 2015 Ford Escape for the Finance Department- Purchasing Division <br />(Mail Services) from Silsbee Ford through the Texas Local Government Purchasing <br />Cooperative Buyboard Contract #430 -13, Vehicles, Heavy Duty Trucks and Options in <br />the total amount of $24,543.50; and a 2015 Ford F150 Supercab 44 truck for the <br />Public Services Department- Water /Wastewater Division from Silsbee Ford through <br />the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts Office Contract #072A1 for trucks (including <br />diesel, gasoline, electric, hybrid and alternative fuel units) in the total amount of <br />$26,632.31; authorizing the City Manager or his designee to execute the appropriate <br />purchasing documents on behalf of the City; and declaring an effective date. <br />11. Consider approval of Resolution 2015 -35R, approving the purchase of a 2015 <br />Chevrolet 3500hd Truck and a 2015 Chevrolet 2500hd Truck for the Public Services <br />Department- Streets Division from Caldwell Country Chevrolet through the <br />Houston - Galveston Area Council of Governments Cooperative Purchasing Program <br />Contract #VE11 -13 for current model cars and light trucks in the total amount of <br />City of San Marcos Page 4 <br />
