On roll call for the appointment of Brenda Smith the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Hernandez, Kissler. NAY: Younger. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Main Street Advisory Board. Mayor Younger stated he was trying to reach Juan Hurtado to serve to complete the vacancy of Frances Stovall but had been unable to reach him. Mr. Guerra moved to table the appointment to the August 10, 1987 Agenda and Mayor Younger second- ed the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Nicola. Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler. (Mr. Nicola present at 7:45 p.m.). Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN Þ~RCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING SECTION 16-13, UNAUTHORIZED RECEPTION OF CABLE SERVE, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES, ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 6, ARTICLE III, SEC- TIONS 6-48 AND 6-50 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDIN- ANCES TO PROVIDE FOR A SEVEN MEMBER CEMETERY COMMISSION, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Younger, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Hernandez. ABSTAIN: None. COM- MISSION FOR WOMEN, SECTION 2-125 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY REDUCING THE MEMBERSHIP OF SAID COMMISSION FOR WOMEN FROM FIFTEEN (15) TO NINE (9); ESTABLISHING TERMS OF SERVICE FOR SAID MEMBERS; SPECI- FYING THE NUMBER OF NONRESIDENT MEMBERS OF SAID COMMIS- SION; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
