<br />170 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />July 27, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 5 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br />1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING 22.8602 ACRES OUT OF THE <br />JUAN MARTIN DE VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.2, BEING A POR- <br />TION OF THAT CERTAIN 63.28 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CON- <br />VEYED TO LEMENS FINANCE COMPANY BY DEED RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 336, PAGE 12 IN THE DEED RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, <br />TEXAS, LOCATED BETWEEN IH35 NORTH AND RIVER ROAD NORTH <br />OF THE MKT RAILROAD, FROM "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DIS- <br />TRICT) TO "MF-5" (MULTI-FAMILY DISTRICT [HIGH DENSITY]); <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of four Ordinances <br />on second reading and adoption of two Ordinances on third and final <br />reading by consensus. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the four Ordin- <br />ances on second reading and adoption of the two Ordinances on third <br />and final reading by consensus and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. The captions of these Ordinances read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Consider approval of Ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A 1.2 ACRE <br />EASEMENT AND BEING THAT EASEMENT WHICH ABUTS AND IS <br />LOCATED IN LOTS 14,19 AND 23 OF THE RIVER RIDGE SUB- <br />DIVISION OF 146.57 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, IN <br />THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO.2, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY <br />TO EXECUTE SPECIAL WARRANTY DEEDS; REFLECTING FAIR <br />MARKET EXCHANGE OF PROPERTY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br />IVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, AMENDING SECTION 5-81 OF CHAPTER 5, BUILDINGS <br />AND BUILDING REGULATIONS, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES TO PROVIDE THAT APPEALS UNDER THE STANDARD <br />UNSAFE BUILDING ABATEMENT CODE ARE TO THE BUILDING <br />BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING SECTIONS 16-22 THROUGH 16-34 <br />OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES AND ADOPTING IN <br />ITS PLACE NEW SECTIONS 16-22 THROUGH 16-32, PROVIDING <br />PROCEDURES FOR THE IMPOUNDMENT AND SALE OF PERSONAL <br />PROPERTY DECLARING A NUISANCE, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR <br />THE IMPOUNDMENT OF PERSONAL PROPERTY, AND ESTABLISHING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 31, MUNICIPAL AIRPORT, <br />OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY CLARIFYING <br />Ov;NER AND PILOT RESPONSIBILITIES FOR TIE-DOWN FEES <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Consider adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A STOP SIGN AT <br />THE INTERSECTION OF EAST MIMOSA AND LAUREL LANE AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
