198 Regular Meeting August 10, 1987 Page 9 Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ADOPTING AN AFFIRMATIVE ACTION PLAN RELATING TO THE RECRUITMENT AND EMPLOYMENT OF CITY EMPLOYEES, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Guerra. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE DISPOSAL OF A MARE DO- NATED TO THE SAN MARCOS POLICE DEPARTMENT MOUNTED PATROL; AUTHORIZING THE DISPOSAL TO BE MADE IN A MANNER DETERMINED BY THE CITY MANAGER; PROVIDING THAT A BUDGET AMENDMENT BE APPROVED UPON DISPOSAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution throughout the Resolution to change the word "disposal" wherever it appears to "sell or tradell and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unani- mously. On roll call for adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, NAY: Farr. ABSTAIN: None. Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FINDING THAT AN EXCESS OF $19,869.25 IN REAL PROPERTY TAXES WAS PAID BY PARK PLACE LTD. BY AND THROUGH HOME SAVINGS AND LOAN ASSOCIATION, FIND- ING SAID AMOUNT TO BE ERRONEOUS, AUTHORIZING AND AP- PROVING A REFUND IN SAID AMOUNT BY THE TAX COLLECTOR, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval to authorize bid- ding for a pickup truck (light duty compact). Mr. Farr moved for ap- proval to authorize bidding and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
