Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two appoint- ments to the Main Street Advisory Board to complete vacancies. Mr. Farr moved to appoint Bill Plumber and Mayor Younger seconded the mo- tion, which passed unanimously. The other appointment will be scheduled for the September 14, 1987 Meeting. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals. The Council did not have a name for this meeting, and Mr. Nicola indicated he had someone in mind to serve on this Board. The appointment will be scheduled for the September 14, 1987 Meeting. Mayor Younger introduced the next item of business, Council returns adjusted budget to City Manager and Assistant City Manager. Mr. Farr moved to table this item because another Budget Workshop is scheduled for August 26, 1987 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced the next item of business, Council received appraisal roll for 1987. Mayor Younger stated the gross appraised value is $317,099,696.00, with the gross taxable value and net taxable value being $791,184,556.00. Mayor Younger introduced the next item of business, Council determines revenue requirement. Mr. Brown moved to table this item because of the scheduling of an additional Budget Workshop on August 26 and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced a public hearing and approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 30.B. OF THE GENERAL ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF AUTOMOTIVE BODY/PAINT SHOP AS A SPECIFIC USE IN COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the amen&aent. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mr. Farr not present to vote on this item). Mayor Younger introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING, MORE OR LESS, TWO TRACTS CONSIST- ING OF TRACT 1: 0.726 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. TWO, ALSO BEING A PORTION OF A 2.975 ACRE TRACT RECORDED IN VOLUME 298, PAGE 130 OF THE HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS DEED RECORDS, AND TRACT 2: 2.249 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M.
