Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for the amendment. Cindy Gillespie was present representing Jay Williamson to answer any questions of the Council. No one else wished to speak for or against the amendment, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordin- ance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE í~lICE REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING ALL OF BLOCKS 3 AND 4, VICTORY GARDENS - FIRST SECTION, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AS RECORD- ED IN VOLUME 128, PAGE 46 OF HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, LOCATED ON THE 200 BLOCK OF CAMACHO STREET; 200 BLOCK (EVEN) OF ROOSEVELT STREET; AND 600 BLOCK (EVEN) OF MACARTHUR STREET, FROM IIMII (SINGLE, DUPLEX AND NEIGH- BORHOOD BUSINESSES DISTRICT) TO "R-2" (SINGLE-FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT [MEDIUM DENSITY]); AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded; AYE: Brown, NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Nicola. Farr, Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and adop- tion of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, FOR 0.726 ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. TWO, ALSO BEING A PORTION OF A 2.975 ACRE TRACT RECORDED IN VOLUME 298, PAGE 130 OF THE HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS DEED RECORDS, SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF LOOP 82 AND WARDEN LANE, FROM HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor Younger closed the public hearing.
