<br />220 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />August 24, 1987 <br /> <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration a public hearing and <br />adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (~~P) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, OF BLOCK 3, LOTS 13 <br />THROUGH 15 AND BLOCK 4, LOTS 11 THROUGH 14 OF THE <br />VICTORY GARDENS - FIRST SECTION TO THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN VOLUME <br />128, PAGE 46 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 209 CAMACHO STREET, 606 <br />AND 608 MACARTHUR STREET AND 202 AND 206 ROOSEVELT <br />STREET, FROM COMMERCIAL TO LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br />to speak for or against the amendment. No one did, so Mayor Younger <br />closed the public hearing. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolu- <br />tion and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration an addendum, adoption of <br />an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING AN ORDINANCE ENTITLED IIAN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAR- <br />COS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM <br />REVENUE BONDS, SERIES 1987, IN THE AGGREGATE PRINCI- <br />PAL AMOUNT OF $1,170,000, PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF <br />SAID BONDS; AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING <br />THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY" <br />TO PROVIDE FOR CERTAIN FUNDS TO BE ACCUMULATED AND <br />MAINTAINED AS SECURITY FOR SAID BONDS; CONTAINING <br />OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING THERETO; AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and <br />Mayor Younger seconded the motion. Rick Fisher advised the Council <br />this Ordinance amendment completes blanks in Section 1. Section 7.01 <br />in the second paragraph of (b) with the amount of $204,743.00 in the <br />last sentence and in (c) the amounts of $1,233.33 and $74,000.00 <br />respectively. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the <br />Ordinance on emergency. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of two Ordinances <br />on second reading and adoption of four Ordinances on third and final <br />reading by consensus. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the two Ordin- <br />ances on second reading and for adoption of the four Ordinances on <br />third and final reading by consensus and Mr. Guerra seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously. The captions of these Ordinances <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Approval of Ordinances on second reading: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 13 1/2 OF THE CODE <br />OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY REPEALING OBSOLETE SEC- <br />TIONS 13 1/2-3, 13 1/2-4, 13 1/2-5, 13 1/2-6 OF SAID <br />CODE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
