<br />39 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />September 28,1987 <br /> <br />Page 10 <br /> <br />The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXECU- <br />TION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY AND SUBMISSION <br />OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE CRIMINAL <br />JUSTICE DIVISION OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR A SE- <br />LECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROJECT (STEP), DRIVER <br />BEHAVIOR-SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXPENDITURE OF $15,643.10, AUTHORIZING THE EXECU- <br />TION OF ANY OTHER INSTRUMENTS OR DOCUMENTS NECESSARY <br />TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID PROGRAM, AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded <br />the motion. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution in the caption, <br />the first paragraph beginning with the word WHEREAS, in Part 1. and <br />in Part 2. to change the "Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's <br />Office" to "State Department of Highways and Public Transportation", <br />and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />SAID CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR <br />THE ADMINISTRATION OF FUNDS COLLECTED PURSUANT TO <br />ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES <br />OF SAID CITY AND AS AUTHORIZED BY ARTICLE 1269J-4.1, <br />V.A.T.S.; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXE- <br />CUTE SAID CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra se- <br />conded the motion. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution to at- <br />tach a revised budget as Appendix "A" to the Contract and Ms. Kissler <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then <br />voted unaniQously for adoption of the Resolution. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, ENDORSING THE NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING <br />TASK FORCE PROGRAM, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION BY THE <br />CITY MANAGER OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM <br />THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF TEE GOVERNOR'S OF- <br />FICE FOR SUCH PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE <br />OF $1,250.00 AND THE EXECUTION OF ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS <br />OR INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF <br />SUCH PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />
