Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXECU- TION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY AND SUBMISSION OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF THE GOVERNOR'S OFFICE FOR A SE- LECTIVE TRAFFIC ENFORCEMENT PROJECT (STEP), DRIVER BEHAVIOR-SELECTIVE ENFORCEMENT PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $15,643.10, AUTHORIZING THE EXECU- TION OF ANY OTHER INSTRUMENTS OR DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SAID PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution in the caption, the first paragraph beginning with the word WHEREAS, in Part 1. and in Part 2. to change the "Criminal Justice Division of the Governor's Office" to "State Department of Highways and Public Transportation", and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A PROPOSED CONTRACT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR THE ADMINISTRATION OF FUNDS COLLECTED PURSUANT TO ARTICLE II OF CHAPTER 26 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY AND AS AUTHORIZED BY ARTICLE 1269J-4.1, V.A.T.S.; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXE- CUTE SAID CONTRACT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra se- conded the motion. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Resolution to at- tach a revised budget as Appendix "A" to the Contract and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ENDORSING THE NARCOTICS TRAFFICKING TASK FORCE PROGRAM, RATIFYING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY MANAGER OF AN APPLICATION FOR ASSISTANCE FROM THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION OF TEE GOVERNOR'S OF- FICE FOR SUCH PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING THE EXPENDITURE OF $1,250.00 AND THE EXECUTION OF ANY OTHER DOCUMENTS OR INSTRUMENTS NECESSARY TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF SUCH PROGRAM, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
