Mr. Robbins reviewed with the Council the revised Corridor Map areas (shown in red), which include Purgatory, Blanco and Cape's Camp tributaries. Mr. Robbins stated damage will occur from develop- ment if these revisions are not in place. Mr. Robbins stated he did feel an annual review of the Ordinance is unnecessary, and Mr. Hankins stated it could be changed to a periodic review. Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordinance in Section 36-2(B) (3) for a periodic review rather than annual review of the Ordinance, and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Robbins stated this Ordinance is designed to protect the River from pollution from development along the River. Jay Moore stated he does not think the amendments are necessary or that the articles relate to our River. Mr. Robbins stated he does feel they relate to our River. Mr. Moore request the City get recommendations to specific areas along the River. Mr. Nicola stated he is in favor of 2000' along Purgatory and the 200' requirement. Mayor Younger stated he is not in favor of the 2000' requirement. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on second reading, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Guerra, Younger, Hernandez. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider the Ordinance. The caption of this Ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOL. 66) BY ZONING OF 84.17 ACRES, MORE OR LESS, OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO.1, FROM BEING "PD" (PRE-DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT [LOW DENSITY]), AND "c" (COMMERCIAL DISTRICT) TO "PDD" (PLANNED DEVELOP- MENT DISTRICT); APPROVING A PDD DEVELOPMENT PLAN FOR SAID 84.17 ACRE TRACT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the two Ordin- ances on second reading and adoption of the Ordinance on third and final reading by consensus and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (Mayor Younger voting NAY on Item 12.A. [1]).
