The motion failed for <br />a lack of five votes. On roll call for approval of the Ordinance on <br />first reading, the Council voted unanimously for approval (Mr. Farr <br />was not present to vote on this item). <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 5, BUILDING CODE AND <br />APPENDIX C, SUBDIVISIONS OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES TO CLARIFY THE INTENT AND LANGUAGE OF THE <br />BUILDING CODE AND SUBDIVISION ORDINANCE WITH RESPECT <br />TO PLATS, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading <br />and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. Mr. Robbins advised the <br />Council the amendment is to get both consistent with one another. <br />The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first <br />reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 36, SAN MARCOS RIVER <br />CORRIDOR, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY <br />CORRECTING TYPOGRAPHICAL ERRORS, CLARIFYING REZONING <br />AND SITE PLAN REQUIREMENTS, INCREASING THE IMPERVIOUS <br />COVER SETBACK, PROVIDING FOR REVIEW OF PLANS BY THE <br />DIRECTOR OF ENVIRONMENT AND ENGINEERING, INCLUDING <br />AUSTIN BASIN GUIDELINES, EXPANDING SAN MARCOS RIVER <br />CORRIDOR BOUNDARIES, CLARIFYING ENGINEERING REQUIRE- <br />MENTS, ESTABLISHING THE SITE PLAN SCALE AND DECLAR- <br />ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading <br />and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. Mayor Younger stated he did not <br />think the setback requirements for heavily wooded areas were needed <br />along our River. Mr. Robbins stated he does feel it applies to our <br />
