RESOLUTION NO. 2015 -69R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING A THREE YEAR EXTENSION OF A <br />PROPERTY USE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND TEXAS <br />STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE CITY'S USE OF A PARKING AREA <br />DOWNTOWN AND TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY'S USE OF A <br />PARKING AREA ALONG CHARLES AUSTIN; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />RECITALS: <br />1. By Resolution No. 2003 -43R, the City Council approved a Property Use <br />Agreement with Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University (the <br />"Agreement ") under which the City authorized Texas State University to use designated parking <br />areas along Charles Austin Drive and Texas State authorized the City to use designated parking <br />areas behind Fire Station 1 downtown. <br />2. - The- A- greement a- - renewedand- extended through August 3-1, 20-15. - <br />3. The parties wish to renew and extend the Agreement for an additional three year <br />term effective September 1, 2015. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached Renewal and Extension of Parking Use Agreement between <br />the City and Texas State University is hereby approved. <br />PART 2. The City Manager is authorized to execute the Renewal and Extension of <br />Parking Use Agreement on behalf of the City. <br />PART 3.
