123 Regular Meeting November 9, 1987 Page 8 Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS OF A PRE-APPLICA- TION FOR FEDERAL ASSISTANCE FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID PRE-APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION IF APPROPRIATE; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. roll call the following vote was recorded: On AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Hernandez, Kissler. NAY: Younger. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval to authorize requests for applications for banking services. Mayor Younger moved to authorize and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of issuance of tax exempt mortgage revenue bonds for single-family housing by Capital Area Hou~ing Finance Corporation and authorization £or the Mayor to execute the Certificate of Approval. Mr. Guerra moved for approval and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration authorization for use of con- tingency funds in the amount of $885.08 to Texas Municipal League for intervention in Sportsmen's Clubs of Texas, Siera Club and Environmental Defense Fund vs. Dick Whittington, et al. The Council did not wish to authorize the funding and made no motion. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval to close one-half of San Antonio Street closest to Courthouse, between LBJ and Guadalupe from 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 3 to 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, and approval for limited booth space on the sidewalks on LBJ between Hopkins and University Drive during the Sights and Sounds of Christmas Celebration. Mr. Farr moved for approval and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the dates for the Regular Council Meetings to be held in December, 1987. Mayor Younger moved for the dates to be Monday, December 7 and Wednesday, December 16 and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
