7 Regular Meeting December 7, 1987 Page 3 Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING CHAPTER 17 OF THE SAN MAR- COS CODE OF ORDINANCES, MUNICIPAL COURT, ADOPTING A NEW CHAPTER 17 TO PROVIDE FOR A MUNICIPAL COURT OF RECORD AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Hankins advised the Council in 1986 $5,000 in fines was appealed from Municipal Court to the County that was never sent to the City. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, M1ENDING APPENDIX C, ARTICLE V, PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT, SECTION F(4) OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY CHANGING THE MINIMUM SITE AREA FOR A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT TO ONE ACRE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance and Mayor Younger se- conded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Farr, Younger, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Brown, Guerra, Hernandez. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ~lENDING SECTION 4-42(a) OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES TO PROHIBIT SKATEBOARDS, ROLLERS KATES , TRICYCLES AND BICYCLES ON SIDEWALKS IN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Hernandez moved for approval of the Ordinance on £irst reading and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. Mr. Guerra moved to amend the Ordinance to add "adult-sized" before the word tricycles in the cap- tion and in Section 4-42(a) and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading.
