City Council Meeting Minutes August 4, 2015 <br />3. Receive a Staff presentation and update regarding the 2015 Memorial Day Flood, and <br />provide direction to Staff. <br />4. Receive a staff update and hold discussion regarding CodeSMTX and the Road Map <br />for the project, and provide direction to Staff. <br />III. Invocation <br />IV, Pledges Of Allegiance - United States And Texas <br />Council Member Hughson, led the pledges of allegiance. <br />V. 30 Minute Citizen Comment Period <br />Melissa Derrick, stated that the primary concern she has is that we have people <br />devaluing homes so that people won't have the tax burden, but then we have <br />FEMA coming in and providing cost evaluations also. Why were the letters <br />sent out with a lack of information on what to do? 'There is information <br />coming out to get FEMA grants for people, but the people need more <br />information from the City so they can understand what's going on. She asked <br />that staff look into a technical error that occurred when a citizen applied for a <br />building permit on her JiPhone regarding a disclaimer that doesn't show like it <br />does on a regular PC. <br />Lisa Maria Coppoletta, addressed the Council about the letter that was sent <br />out to the neighborhood of Blanco Gardens. She feels better after speaking to <br />City of San Marcos Page 2 <br />
